Supply Chain Management System PIMM™ - Overview
What is PIMM™?
PIMM™ (
Personal
Information
Management
Monitor) is a system which enables you to access historic temperature data for a complete shipment immediately in real time, once the goods have been received at their destination.
If the transport showed any evidence of thermal mishandling, suppliers can be instantly informed via SMS or e-mail.
Aside from instant access to temperatures and alarm configurations, PIMM™ offers suppliers the ability to rate shippers, identifying those who perform consistently well but also those who do poorly.
The complete information history of the cold chain can be made available to suppliers, receivers as well as other stakeholders.
How does PIMM™ work?
Cold chain monitoring from supplier to receiver:
On a local PC the supplier/producer registers from just a single to any number of PIMM™ LogTag data loggers with the central PIMM™ database.
The now configured and registered data logger is then placed directly with the goods in the shipment to be monitored.
During the complete transport PIMM™ LogTag data loggers continuously record the temperature.
The receiver removes the data logger from the consignment and inserts it into an interface cradle connected to a PC.
Once the data are checked, the consignment can be accepted or rejected.
This choice along with all temperature data is then automatically transferred to the PIMM™ data base.
Within just a few minutes all parties involved in the cold chain can view the data via an Internet based software, from anywhere in the world.
Satisfied PIMM™ clients:

Since deploying PIMM™ in 2006, Arby's managers have gained enhanced insight into a variety of areas.
We have better information to make decisions about load acceptability. We also have more visibility into who is doing a good job -- not only with respect to how they're handling our products, but how they're executing our monitoring program.
Arby's vendors and distributors also appear to be pleased with the technology. The vendors are getting more for their money because they have access to all their deliveries, not just the problem loads. The distributors get a system that's easier to use.

These PIMM LogTags are SO much easier to use than those others! I’m always having issues with those, but yours always work.
