MSR data loggers are used to examine the behavior of special textiles, such as those found in car or aircraft seats, functional clothing, etc..
This provides valuable data on temperature and humidity, which in turn allows conclusions to be drawn about temperature behavior, moisture transport(perspiration), etc.
Thermophysiological comfort of bike backpacks
Even if a backpack only covers part of the body, wearing a backpack during sporting and sweat-inducing activities has a significant influence on thermoregulation. The overall feeling of comfort is often negatively influenced by extreme local temperature or humidity sensations. In a series of test subjects at VAUDE, three different backpack types with different designs were tested on 4 test subjects on a bicycle ergometer in a climate chamber.
