Temperature monitoring with Min/Max thermometers!
In many instances, temperatures are still monitored using Min/Max thermometers. These allow in a very simple way to determine temperature extremes and detect violation of thresholds.
The principle disadvantage of such a process is the inability to send out alarms in case of threshold violations - damage is generally detected only once the damage already occurred!
Moreover, such monitoring is cumbersome and time-consuming.
Modern central monitoring systems with alarming
In these situations a modern central monitoring system with alarming offers excellent service - it records temperature values continuously (even on weekends and holidays), warns reliably when thresholds are exceeded and is easy to use. In addition, it allows creating reports which document recordings gap-free.
Nevertheless, Min/Max thermometers are still in use, generally because they are allegedly less expensive.
But is that even true?
Here is a rough cost estimate
Let’s assume a pharmaceutical technician (PTA) reads a pharmacy’s five Min/Max thermometers once each per day and documents the results in a previously created list. Estimating a duration of 20 minutes this might cost the pharmacist about 10 Euro. This results in a total cost of 3.120 Euro, assuming 6 days x 52 weeks x 10 Euro !!
This means a central monitoring system with alarming will have paid for itself within a few weeks, after which the pharmacist saves money. As a welcome side effect, monitoring continues for a full 365 days, a gap-free documentation is provided and measurement data in graphical and tabular form can easily be processed further.
How do I check if the required temperatures are maintained on my premises?
Nothing easier than that. The SenseAnywhere monitoring system allows you to keep on top of the temperatures in your business. The system is easy to install and extremely intuitive to use. Keep track of the continuously recorded data at a glance - even while on the road. Configure temperature thresholds and get warned on the PC, by e-mail or SMS if these thresholds are violated - this is the only way to avoid damage before it occurs. On request, the system creates fully automatic reports for documentation and possible submission to authorities.
And the best thing is... ...it doesn’t generate any extra work for you! Position the Sensor Modules where they need to monitor conditions, and after a simple and quick set-up phase, the monitoring system runs completely automatic and reliable - only drawing your attention when you need to step in.
