Temperature monitoring for medical practices
Monitoring practice refrigerators with the SenseAnywhere monitoring system
The storage temperature in the doctor's surgery: of crucial importance!
Many medical practices, often in the fields of ENT, dermatology, allergology, pulmonology/pneumology and endocrinology, keep medicines in stock. Medicines, vaccines, serums and more must not leave the temperature ranges specified by the manufacturers during storage, as they may otherwise lose their effectiveness without this being visible from the outside. In larger medical practices, refrigerated goods worth several thousand euros can easily be stored. Goods that have to be discarded due to incorrect storage therefore have painful financial consequences.
As a rule, "non-refrigerated" medicines must be stored at temperatures between +15°C and +25°C, while "refrigerated" medicines must be stored at temperatures between +2°C and +8°C. Especially with vaccines, freezing can lead to a loss of efficacy or poor tolerability.
Whether in a small village practice or in large group practices: temperature monitoring of refrigerators, freezers and medicine cabinets is essential for the quality control of a medical practice.
How can I monitor refrigerators in a doctor's surgery?
The minimum requirement for monitoring temperatures in a doctor's surgery is the use of a min-max thermometer, which displays the minimum and maximum temperature between two readings. However, such a min-max thermometer also involves inconveniences and risks:
For one thing, the thermometer must be read very consistently every day and entered in a list that must be maintained and archived. Secondly, the person entrusted with this task must be very reliable and trustworthy.
The decisive disadvantage of a min-max thermometer, however, is the lack of a reliable alarm in the event of a limit value being exceeded; and preferably before any damage has occurred!
Proactive and automated temperature monitoring of refrigerators in practice
With the SenseAnywhere monitoring system, you can monitor the refrigerator temperature in the doctor's surgery. The system is very easy to install and extremely intuitive to use. View the continuously recorded data at a glance - in the practice, at home or on the move. Specify temperature limits and receive a warning on your PC or by e-mail or text message if these limits are exceeded - this is the only way to prevent damage before it occurs. If required, the system can generate fully automatic reports for documentation and possible submission to inspectors.
And the best thing about it: you have no work at all. You place the measuring systems at the points that need to be monitored and, after a simple and short set-up phase, the monitoring system runs completely automatically and reliably and only reports when it needs your attention.
SenseAnywhere temperature monitoring:
- Fully automatic temperature monitoring without paper
- Alerting before damage occurs
- Unbeatable price/performance ratio
- Sustainable and reliable thanks to 10-year battery
- Secure, redundant storage of your measurement data
