Indigo500 Series Measurement Transmitters
The Vaisala Indigo500 series measurement transmitters are host devices for Vaisala Indigo-compatible, standalone, intelligent probes. The Indigo500 series includes the Indigo520 and Indigo510 measurement transmitters. They are available with a touchscreen display made of chemically strengthened (IK08) glass, ideal for local data visualization. Transmitters without displays are also available. The measurement transmitters offer advanced options for probe connection, power supply, and wiring. Their robust metal housing with IP66 and NEMA4 protection ensures reliable performance even in the harshest conditions.

The Indigo520 measurement transmitter supports up to two probes to simultaneously measure the same or two different parameters. The Indigo510 supports only one probe. When it's time for calibration, simply remove the probe, replace it with a new one, and send the removed probe for calibration without interrupting your process and reducing downtime.
Both measurement transmitters are available with a touchscreen display made of chemically strengthened (IK08) glass for local data visualization. The measurement transmitters also expand connectivity, power supply, and wiring options compared to using just one Indigo-compatible probe. Their robust metal housing with IP66 and NEMA4 protection ensures reliable performance even in the harshest conditions.
The Indigo500 series is also compatible with the oil moisture, hydrogen, and temperature measurement transmitter MHT410 for online monitoring of power transformers.
Features of Indigo500
- Universal measurement transmitter for Indigo-compatible Vaisala probes
- Touchscreen display, also available in non-display version
- Metal housing with IP66 and NEMA4 protection
- Ethernet connection with web interface for remote access
- Modbus TCP/IP protocol
- Multiple power supply options, including PoE (Power over Ethernet) and mains power

Intelligent probes with maximum accuracy and stability
The accuracy and long-term stability of Indigo probes are in a class of their own.
They give you a sixth sense you can rely on:
The ability to detect even the weakest signals and make better and earlier decisions.
Humidity and temperature probes
The Indigo humidity sensors are based on Vaisala's proprietary HUMICAP® technology, which is known for its excellent long-term stability, sensor heating for condensing environments and full recovery after condensation, resistance to dust and most chemicals, and dry cleaning option.
Carbon dioxide probes
Indigo-compatible carbon dioxide (CO2) probes are based on Vaisala's unique CARBOCAP® technology, which provides exceptional stability. They are ideal for applications such as incubators, greenhouses, fruit and vegetable storage and transportation, animal shelters and demand-controlled ventilation systems.
Hydrogen peroxide probes
Vaisala vaporized hydrogen peroxide probes offer the unique PEROXCAP® technology. This enables accurate and repeatable measurement of the biodecontamination cycle with a single probe.
Dew point probes
The Indigo series dew point probes are based on Vaisala DRYCAP® technology. Their unsurpassed performance is based on the capacitive thin-film polymer sensor and the auto-calibration function. Probes with the DRYCAP sensor provide long-term accurate readings, which significantly reduces the need for maintenance.
Moisture in oil
The proven Vaisala HUMICAP® sensor is used in the oil moisture probe. This was developed for demanding moisture measurements.
