The right temperature monitoring system plays an important role not only in monitoring temperatures along the supply chain, but also in sustainability. That is why the sustainable use of resources is an essential part of our SenseAnywhere monitoring system.
In addition to developing and manufacturing measuring instruments to protect our environment and health, we are therefore committed to greater sustainability and the efficient use of resources. We want our measuring instruments to be usable in the long term and therefore focus on stability and high quality when developing our AiroSensors.
Sustainability at SenseAnywhere at a glance
- SenseAnywhere is certified in accordance with the international environmental management standard ISO 14001. This covers various areas of environmental management, including life cycle assessments and environmental indicators. In practice, this means giving sustainability a significant role during development and production.
- SenseAnywhere makes considerable efforts to optimize hardware and software design in terms of power consumption.
- Our wireless data loggers have a battery life of 10 years. Even when data is transmitted every 5 minutes. Unique on the market!
- The battery is designed to last the life of the logger, eliminating not only the chemical waste associated with battery replacement, but also the cost and energy associated with manufacturing, ordering, shipping, replacing and properly disposing of dead batteries. SenseAnywhere loggers are extremely compact and consume fewer resources than similar products from other suppliers.
- SenseAnywhere reduces product-related waste even further by using minimalist, simple cardboard packaging, a minimum of paper documentation and electronic manuals and tutorials.

Tom Heijnen, Managing Director of SenseAnywhere, has a clear vision of environmentally friendly manufacturing and sustainability.
"If you want to be green, you have to buy orange sensors," he says confidently. "Suppose there were hundreds of thousands of data loggers in use that could run for 10 years on a single battery. Imagine how many millions of batteries we could save. By avoiding tons of chemical waste, you can make a real difference and contribute to a better world."
We go the extra mile in terms of sustainability
In addition to a sustainable product, we also pay attention to the packaging. We deliver our AiroSensors in a simple white box (no colors, as little waste as possible). We leave out everything that does not offer you any additional benefit. The total weight of the packaging and all additional materials is just 9 grams. But even here we are not at the end: monitoring and backing up tens of thousands of loggers from thousands of customers in a modern data center is much more energy efficient than using customer-owned servers. The cloud is an extremely energy-efficient alternative, not to mention reliable, secure and less hassle.

The company's office buildings are powered by solar panels, which reduces the emission of CO2 into the environment. In addition, SenseAnywhere has installed LED lights in all offices to reduce energy consumption and has an A energy label - the most economical use.
At SenseAnywhere, waste is always recycled separately and many of the company's employees cycle to work, further reducing the company's carbon footprint.
