Ötzi, the Iceman!
One of the most important archaeological discoveries of this century is certainly "Ötzi", the almost 5,500-year-old mummy from the Similaun glacier.
Ötzi, whose body has been preserved to this day because of the ice, was able to return to the "realm of cold" thanks to pioneering equipment from Angelantoni, specially developed for the preservation of this mummy.
The challenge for recreating the environment in which the mummy stayed for over 5,000 years was certainly due to the humidity of almost 100%, as it is inside the ice. This was the only reason why the mummy could not dehydrate and thus keep its weight.
