Pasteurization of Beverage Cans
Xolutions GmbH, a German innovator in the field of beverage and plastics technology, uses MPIII data loggers made by DataTrace to record exact temperature and pressure values inside beverage cans.
These measurements are an essential element of being able to recreate the pasteurisation processes used in the industry back in the laboratory, providing instant feedback for researchers and developers.
MPIII Data Logger records temperature and pressure changes

Pre-programmed MPIII loggers are inserted directly into beverage cans, which are then filled with heavily chilled carbonated water and sealed with XO-Ends (a tailored locking system). Due to the high temperatures during pasteurization, the cans undergo significant temperature and pressure changes, which are recorded by the Data Trace system. These data assist the designers greatly in the implementation of product enhancements.
MPIII Data Logger provides accurate checks
To display such pressure and temperature processes accurately, a self-contained logger system is necessary. The MPIII Data Logger is particularly suitable for this application, as it can measure and record even the smallest changes inside the cans during the pasteurization process. Using those measurements directly from the source is the only way to fine-tune pasteurization processes in the laboratory, thereby reproducing exact industry standards. Constantly adapting temperature levels at the pasteurizer allows the temperature/pressure gradients to be adjusted, so that the conditions inside the can are a perfect match for the established profiles used in the industry.
"The MPIII loggers are an indispensable tool for our application and provide a high level of reliability and quality."
